I rebuild player pianos, here in Rome, and do many more things in the field: I make myself self-playing midi instruments, such as pipe organ, violin, cello, contra-bass, drums, harpsichord,accordion....... I make standard and duo-art roll-to-midi conversion and other such things. This explains in few words my activity. You can see more in MMD archives, where I speak about my self-playing violin.

We have 35 years experience in restoring upright pianos and grand pianos of every type (old and new), restoring antique instruments like square pianos, barrel organs, coin mechanisms, and later player pianos.
We also offer a range of best trade-mark used upright and grand pianos, and accessories for pianos.

I am not in this as a business, but I know the material very well. I would be willing to take on external work but I take my time and will not argue about costs and quality of materials--if something needs replacing, I will only replace it with the best quality replacement I can get--I won't do a partial job just to save money so if that's what you want--find yourself another technician! We are experienced in repairing and restoring upright pianos and grand pianos and, after doing this for years, I discovered that I share the same passion for the player pianos that John Tuttle has. Unlike John, I can't stop repairing regular pianos because here, in Spain, there aren't enough player pianos to make a living, but it is very pleasing to be entrusted with the repair of such beautiful instruments and mechanisms; preserving their value.

Player piano technician.

I work in the automatic music instruments since 1975. I have a little company with 4 employees, and we make restorations of player pianos and reproducing pianos. Also orchestrions and other instruments as the Mills violin. We install also electronic CD player systems (principally QRS Pianomation). In the past, I had installed also the Marantz-Superscope systems. since the beginning, we have restored more than 100 automatic instruments. And it's still magic, as for the first one...

We have over 25 years experience restoring mechanicaly played instruments and clocks. We have restored many types of player piano (Pianola) in the UK and abroad including Duo-Art & Ampico expression systems etc. The restorations include work for museums. We have completed pianola and long-case clock restoration for the Torfaen Museum at Pontpool. We have featured in the UK national Independant newspaper. We are menbers of all three UK based player piano groups.
